Damiano joined United Ventures in 2020 to co-lead the firm’s recently launched growth fund, which targets primarily European companies with proven traction in fast-growing sectors such as 5G, cloud/edge computing, smart cities, AI, SaaS, cybersecurity, digital health & IoT.
Damiano brings to United Ventures 14 years of international experience in sales, marketing, corporate development and team management in emerging and developed markets, with a strong focus on wireless technologies. During his time at the US venture-backed company Airspan, lastly as VP Strategy & Marketing, he developed the corporate and commercial positioning of the company and its products across three continents, coordinated and managed corporate development initiatives for the acquisition of strategic assets, lead the Mimosa Networks business unit from a commercial perspective with an increase in sales of ~30%, and implemented company-wide digital transformation initiatives.
A multilingual and multicultural professional, Damiano holds a BSc in International Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA with high honours from IE Business School in Madrid.
When he is not working, you may find him cooking, sharing a glass of wine, or catching waves.
